Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is a wonderfully uplifting and refreshing essential oil with a fresh sweet-citrus, floral scent. It's considered a tonic for frazzled nerves and can help soothe anxiety and lift melancholy. Bergamot can be supportive to healthy digestive and upper respiratory systems, and is great for oily or blemish-prone skin. Often used as an air freshener to combat odors. Bergamot blends well with Lavender, Neroli, Cypress, Jasmine, Juniper Berry, Lemon, Chamomile, Geranium, Rose, and Clary Sage.

Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) has a warm, fresh spicy scent. A stimulating essential oil that is comforting and motivating. Black Pepper is one of the best essential oils for common muscular aches and pains.  It is supportive to a healthy digestive system and can help stimulate appetite. Black Pepper may increase circulation and support a healthy immune system. Black Pepper blends well with Frankincense, Sandalwood, Lavender, Rosemary, Geranium, and most floral and citrus oils.

Chamomile Roman (Anthemis nobilis) has a sweet, fruity odor often referred to as 'apple-like'. Promotes an inner sense of peace and calming, reduces stress and anxiety, and promotes restful sleep. Can be supportive to healthy reproductive and digestive systems. Chamomile is anti-inflammatory and is often used as a balm for muscle soreness, spasm, and joint pain. Its anti-inflammatory properties also make it an excellent essential oil for skin care and minor wound treatment like soothing insect bites. Roman Chamomile blends well with Bergamot, Clary Sage, Lavender, Jasmine, Neroli, Geranium, and Rose

Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) has a sweet floral, herbaceous aroma. A relaxing and uplifting essential oil that helps ease emotional stress, it may also help with headaches and anxiety. Supportive to a healthy digestive system and believed to help strengthen the immune system. Clary Sage is reputed to help balance hormones and has historically been used to help alleviate menopause symptoms, regulate irregular menstruation, and reduce menstrual cramps. It is a relaxing and regulating addition to hair and skin care products, especially for oily hair and skin. Clary Sage blends well with Juniper Berry, Lavender, Bergamot, Geranium, Pine Needle, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, and citrus essential oils.

Frankincense(Boswellia neglecta) has a fresh, woody, slightly sweet resinous scent. This essential oil is traditionally used for its sacred healing qualities and is thought to slow and deepen your breathing which is conducive for meditation. Frankincense is spiritually grounding and is calming and relaxing without being sedative.  Frankincense is one of the best essential oils for mature, dry, or problematic skin and was used in ancient Egypt in rejuvenating face masks and cosmetics. Supportive to healthy respiratory, digestive and reproductive systems. Frankincense blends well with Sandalwood, Vetiver, Pine Needle, Geranium, Lavender, Neroli, spices lik

Lavender has a light, sweet floral scent. The variety from France (Lavandula. angustifolium) has a softer, more complex scent than the one from Bulgaria (Lavandula vera), but shares many of the same properties. Undeniably the most popular essential oil for all age groups, it is therapeutically superior for a wide variety of conditions and definitely the number one choice for first aid. Lavender can be used for minor wounds like bruises, burns, cuts and scrapes, bug bites, and sunburn. Supportive to healthy reproductive, respiratory, lymphatic, circulatory, muscular, and immune systems. Lavender is great for skin care as its anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties help soothe irritated and sensitive skin. Of course, it is widely known as the best essential oil for relaxation as it helps calm stress and anxiety, eases headaches, and promotes restful sleep. Lavender blends well with most oils, but especially  Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Pine Needle, Geranium, Vetiver, Patchouli, citruses, and floral oils.

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) has a penetrating fresh, grassy-citrus scent that’s uplifting, invigorating, and encouraging. Lemongrass is a good essential oil to use when emotionally or physically lethargic or when needing help focusing. It can help increase circulation and is naturally astringent, making it a good skin and muscle toner that can also help improve elasticity and reduce muscular pain. Lemongrass helps boost the immune system and can help fight fevers and infections. Both the plant and the essential oil have been used for centuries to deter insects as well as to ease symptoms of indigestion. It is a deodorant that can be added to soaps, detergents, and air fresheners. Lemongrass blends well with Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Lavender, Myrrh, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Petitgrain, Rosemary, citruses, and spices like Cardamom and Ginger.

Patchouli (Pogostemon patchouli) has a deep, rich, earthy aroma that is mentally grounding and balancing. Patchouli is one of the best essential oils for skin care due to its versatility - it can help moisturize dry and cracked skin, regulate oily and blemish-prone skin, and overall keep skin looking healthy, young, and vibrant. Patchouli is considered a tonic, having an overall toning effect to help optimize metabolic function and strengthen the immune system. It stimulates blood circulation, digestion, and the elimination of toxins and excess water. Historically believed to be a prophylactic, helping prevent the spread of disease and infection. Patchouli blends well with Bergamot, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Geranium, Lavender, Neroli, Rose, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Myrrh.
